Back to normal & FUEL……. via supersimbo.......... January 5th, 2009 at 21:18

image I was back to work today and though i worked from home (WFH), making it a bit easier, i did find it hard! Today was officially the most stressful day of the year, apparently! Thanks to Stu for pointing that out! Mine wasn't too bad, how was yours? I am pretty excited tonight, i have some new stuff up my sleeve for supersimbo so i can't wait to tell you guys about that, but for now..................................I should have told you about this sooner, sorry! David Phelps via supersimbo.......... November 18th, 2008 at 20:41

image Ok so atiG hosted David Phelps last weekend, doing one show in Bangor Elim & someone has uploaded this clip to youtube. Well, its an entire song & oh my word!! This man was awesome, we stood up & i almost cried when he sang this! Its great quality for a phone clip! Lets not hide the fact that i thought i didn't really dig the genre of music that Phelps comes from, i knew his voice was awesome but the show was unreal, his band were out of this world, you MUST watch this clip!http://www.text-link-ads.com/xml_blogger.php?inventory_key=PH203EOCDRY2ZAL1H02V...

Edinburgh part 2 via supersimbo.......... October 30th, 2008 at 20:11

So it was cold in Edinburgh but we managed to stroll around & see lots without freezing to death. There were plenty of breaks for starbucks and other such necessary refreshments. I have to say that whilst wandering around the city it is impossible not to be drawn in by the wonderful architecture, no matter how many times you visit. We love it. On saturday night we arrived in the middle of an 'Scottish October Monsoon' which was lovely! As a result we got to the hotel and quickly found a little pizza place just around the corner & wow! I do not need to blog any more about the food we ate cuz this place was the best Pizza iv ever tasted. If you are ever in Edinburgh, go to the grassmarket & find 'Made in Italy,' it rocks! And their espresso was perfect. Oh, and their Ice-cream was amazing!...

FUEL08, the aftermath……. via supersimbo.......... August 17th, 2008 at 00:21

We just got home from FUEL08! The whole day was almost ruined by the terrible weather we have had all week. It rained non-stop all day today and early this morning the health & safety people shut down FUEL! Plan B was created as best as it could be and one outdoor venue changed to two indoor venues. The main stage acts all played this evening at Ballymena Leisure Center in a big echo chamber of a room but the sound guys did a great great job with a poor location. When we arrived The Psalm Drummers were playing some pretty neat grooves. The [crave]: boys followed with a storming and deafening set, they rocked! Johnny Parks followed and then ONEHUNDREDHOURS rocked the room big time. Tre and his gang are the real deal, you have to check them out. Starfield closed the evening with a great set...

Memory Lane Monday no.4 via supersimbo.......... June 23rd, 2008 at 20:27

"Ok, Shaun Groves! Musician, teacher, husband, father and blogger to name but a few" That is how i began this post on Oct 22nd 2006. Shaun Groves had just been with us in Belfast, we enjoyed a great night of worship & song with Shaun but we knew we would. The night of the concert i was suffering from a bad head cold, that cold became a viral inner ear infection & to cut a long story short, i then had a very sucky 3 months!! This, of course, was not Shaun's fault but when he returned to Belfast again last year, i was sick & didn't make the gig! I was rather unimpressed that i didn't get to see Shaun again, i was less impressed with the amount of time i spent on the toilet that weekend! I hope that Shaun will return another time, Ireland loves him and personally i have been blessed greatly...

Big shout out Sunday no:2……….. via supersimbo.......... June 15th, 2008 at 17:15

My older brother Philip works in music! Thats probably the best way to describe what he does! Its his birthday today and i won't give away his age but its less that 50! ha! He is the one sitting down with the cheesy grin in this pic, thats cuz he is doing what he does best here and no i dont mean sitting! He is hanging out with a group of musicians, either before or after a show! We have networked our butts off over the last last few years, put on some great events and made some great friends. Here is a tip, if you want to put on a concert in Ireland, he is the guy to speak to! Trust me! http://www.text-link-ads.com/xml_blogger.php?inventory_key=PH203EOCDRY2ZAL1H02V...

Memory Lane Monday no.2 via supersimbo.......... June 9th, 2008 at 19:25

Hugh Hewitt got me thinking via supersimbo.......... May 8th, 2008 at 13:52

image I guess in light of this post by Hugh Hewitt i should say something! I would be over-reaching to suggest that my blog has brought about any changes of significance, at least not that i know of. I started the blog because of people like Normal Rockstar and then became inspired by people like Shaun, Randy, Chad and Carlos. Their influence and that of Hugh's Book have been instrumental BUT to what end? I know at least one blogger & friend who "might' say i influenced her to start a blog. Get involved with her search for Polaroid here. Possibly the most fulfilling thing for me has been the bond formed with downhere and atiG. I think i am going to take some credit for that, even if i do say so myself, at least in the months following their first visit to Ireland. The blog connection also...

The Pitch………… via supersimbo.......... April 22nd, 2008 at 09:12

image The never-ending tension for me in the blogosphere involves over-reaching to try and get something. Huh, i hear you say? Well, let me put it this way. If you had a brief opportunity to interact with a highly respected blogger/writer/genius would you suggest to him that perhaps he should check out your blog? Would you then offer him a unique chance to link to your blog by way of a post on his own site? The second ask is, perhaps over-reaching, i'm not convinced that it is but he thought it was. I must stress that i am still not 100% convinced that he is who he says he is. Ok, thats confusing, what i mean is that i am not sure if the person on Facebook is actually Seth. Its probably irrelevant, he isn't going to link to me, though he did read my blog if only for about 30 seconds! My point...

Sunday night not so regular….. via supersimbo.......... February 24th, 2008 at 22:42

image We just heard Tre Sheppard speak tonight. Philip, my bro (atiG) manages his band. Anyway, Church was a little different from the usual, we had Johnny Parks leading worship during our 6.30 service and then afterwards he entertained us in a shindig that featured Tre speaking. Tre is simply awesome, a great guy with a wonderful gift for communicating. He is also hilarious and crazy and combines these attributes brilliantly with a message of hope from God. It was cool to have some laughs with him in "The Minister's Room" between services. We need to hang more with Tre i reckon..........though he may just have unsettled me a tad with his message, perhaps i will talk about it another day. Now, im tired and i need to...
